Jessica Simpson was born on July 10 1980, in Dallas, Texas.

She began her career as at 12 as a member of her church choir at a church summer camp in Dallas, Texas to become a dance-pop singer and Hollywood actress. Jessica Simpson had an audition for The Mickey Mouse Club in 1989 as a young girl and lost the part to future stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.

The following summer, the head of a tiny CCM label, discovered Jessica Simpson, during her church camp. Jessica Simpson spent next three years her debut album with CCM label. However, the label folded before the record could be released. But her grand mother funded a small pressing.
